I don't think I ever met Reginald Shepherd, but he lived in Rhode Island, so it is quite possible we did meet at least once. I understand he was not a big fan of foetrydotcom; I was and am a fan of that site. If he posted with a pseudonym, we may have had an unwitting friendship. I used the id: N. Joy Vey for quite some time...
We had friends in common. The two who first pop into my head are Jilly Dybbka and Mairead Byrne.
