In the 1980's, I had many meetings with John, especially thanks to. the Providence Friends Meeting. He was truly quiet about his history and unfailingly kind and loving. I love the story of his and Ann's transforming their unhappy marriage into an abiding friendship. Love is mysterious. oops.
