Blogroll Amnesty Day

As Blue Gal and Skippy the Bush Kangaroo explain in more detail, Blogroll Amnesty Day is an annual celebration within the liberal blogosphere in which small blogs link to each other in order to increase awareness of some of the farther reaches of the blogging universe. Of course, this isn't my blog, so I can't add any blogs to the blogroll, but I can still link, and I will.

Although Nomi likes to keep I Dreamed I Saw Grace P. Last Night focused on our beloved Ocean State, I'd like to draw your attention to a non-local blog -- so non-local, in fact, that it comes all the way from Germany. I'm talking about, of course, Sadly, No!, a snarkfest dedicated to mocking wingnuts great and small, from nationally known nitwits such as Ross Douthat and Jonah Goldberg, to little-known exemplars of the naked wingnut id like Confederate Yankee, Robin of Berkeley, and Dennis Prager. But it's not Teh Sadly itself that I come to praise, but rather its commentariat, a concentration of wit and brilliance that has few equals within the vast expanse of the Intertoobz. As might be expected of such clever and vocal people, the Sadly, No! commentariat has spawned its own cluster of blogs, and it is to them that I now turn your attention:

From Los Angeles, land of eternal sunshine and endless plastic surgery, comes M. Bouffant's Just Another Blog (From L.A.)

Shambling in from the far reaches of the Zombie Apocalypse, it's zombie rotten mcdonald's Empire of the Senseless.

Taking a more substantial turn is Substance McGravitas' The House of Substance.

Creepy digital artist extraordinaire Beth Spencer, aka vacuumslayer, brings us the Spencer Portfolio.

From off the streets of Yonkers comes the aptly-named Big Bad Bald Bastard.

The far antipodes brings us the multiplayer blog Riddled featuring Brett, Another Kiwi, Smut Clyde, tigris, and the Zombies of Pine Cove.

From parts unknown comes ifthethunderdontgetya.

New York architect Ned Beaumont, Jr. presents Distant Voices, Vibrating Electrons.

Jennifer brings us Saying yes . . .

From up north comes Dragon-King Wangchuck's l'idiot de l'escalier.

And finally, the newest member of the Sadlysphere: from the barren wasteland known as Kansas City, Kansas, it's Truculent&Unreliable's Acoustic! Kitty!

And that's it for this year's Blogroll Amnesty Day. Be seeing you!

Thanks very much for the link. Zombie's the architect - as if there ever were a discernible difference between zombies and architects. I'm an engineer with big mouth.

Thanks for plugging the wonderful weirdness that goes on at Sadly,No! I'm only part of the Sadly commentariat, not a real-live blogger yet. (But I'm designing one).

I bookmarked S,N on my first visit ... then dropped by as a time-to-time lurker ... then became a daily lurker ... then finally stepped out of the shadows. It's a fun and zippy roller-coaster. Climb in take a ride sometime....

WHEEEEEEEEE!
