Historia de voces heróicas available in English and Spanish versions, is a paperback collection of ten oral histories from ONA members, directly transcribed from interviews, describing the conflicts that immigrants face in their decisions to leave their countries, the transnational ties that remain after migration, and the importance in their lives of sending remittances.

From the introduction by Rosario Pren:
Each one of us carries with us an enormous quantity of lived experience that remains recorded in our mind, our spirit, our heart, and not uncommonly, our flesh.
In fact, reading the following stories we realize that each one of them is different, that for some it was and has been more difficult than for others. That the process of adaptation for some has been quick, and for others has taken so much time that the memory of previous ways of acting and of being has been lost. And still we can say that for many immigrants, they killed their dreams, illusions and feelings by crossing the border.
And so it is that this small collection of stories is presented as an offering to all those who never made it, to those lost along the way; whether we call it desert, river, mountain, or jail.


Historia de voces heróicas disponible en edición de espanol y una de inglés, es un conjunto de tapa blanda que consiste en diez historiales orales de miembros de ONA, transcrita directamente de sus entrevistas, en las cuales hablan de los conflictos que enfrentan los inmigrantes por sus decisiones salir de sus países, las enlaclaces transnacionales que quedan despues la migración, y la importancia del envío de remesas en sus vidas.

Cada uno de nosotros lleva cargando una cantidad enorme de vivencias que han quedado grabadas en la mente, el espíritu, el corazón y no pocas veces en la carne física.
Realmente al leer las siguientes historias nos damos cuenta que cada una de ellas es diferente, que en algunos fue y ha sido mas difícil que en otros. Que el proceso de adaptación en algunos ha sido breve pero en otros ha tomado tanto tiempo que se ha perdido en la memoria la conducta y las maneras de ser anteriores. Y aun podemos decir que a muchos inmigrantes les mataron sus sueños, ilusiones y sentimientos al cruzar la frontera. http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
